200 Million

What would you do with 200 MILLION dollars?

Our Friday Lotto is up over the $200 Million mark. So of course we (and the rest of the state) went & bought some tickets. And promptly began dreaming…

First, you figure the government will take about half.

So that leaves 100 Million. Still not too shabby.

  1. 10% to the church (10 Million) = balance 90 Million
  2. New home (gated community – gotta keep out the crazies) with furnishings, upgrades, etc.  5 Million = 85 Million
  3. Pay loans & health expense bills, etc. for immediate family (let’s go big and say 10 Million) = 75 Million
  4. Share the love with some favorite charities (3 Million) = 72 Million

Other fun things on the list:

Travel. Everywhere. Whenever we want. By chartered aircraft.
Cars & motorcycles. FUN ones – not just practical vehicles.
A gardener & housekeeper for sure. Possibly a in-home personal trainer.
Upgraded season tickets for the Kings, along with the occasional suite.  (With parking included, duh!) And maybe a chauffeur to/from the games.
Go on a hockey tour – get great seats in all the old arenas – and maybe some new ones too.

Of course we wouldn’t spend it all! We’d invest it and live off the interest. After all, just 2% of 50 Million is 1 Million. That’s just over 19,000 per week. (And divide that by two and you get around 8 GRAND A WEEK.) My husband says he’d want to hire his policeman friend to be the head of security for us (really, he just wants someone to play with!).

I wonder if I could even spend 8,000 a week? At first it would probably be easy. But once you get through the initial shopping sprees, then what?
